Pallet Trading Terms

1. Minus 1 Refrigerated Transport accepts wooden pallets from both CHEP (10001) and Loscam (WP) and expects that the equipment will be of good quality.
   Transfers of damaged equipment may be corrected or rejected.
   Transfers of any other equipment will be rejected without notice.
2. Senders must have valid Pallet Hire accounts;
   Minus 1 will not trade with senders who do not hold hire accounts.
   Plain pallets are to be used in the absence of hire accounts.
3. All pallets transferred to Minus 1 Refrigerated Transport will incur a minimum of 30-day delay unless otherwise agreed.
   Transfers not processed with delay days will be corrected accordingly.
4. Minus 1 Refrigerated Transport reserves the right to amend a transfer quantity when a discrepancy is identified.
5. A copy of the pallet docket must be presented to the Minus 1 Refrigerated Transport driver on pick-up and must reference the Minus 1 Refrigerated Transport consignment note number.
6. It is a condition that if pallets are transferred onto Minus 1, receivers will accept a transfer from Minus 1 or an immediate exchange must take place.
   Minus 1 will not enter into IOU situations with receivers;
   pallets will be transferred back to the sending trading partner.
7. Minus 1 reserves the right to reduce a subsequent sender's transfer to recover pallets.
8. If a receiver's pallet account is suspended by the hire company and Minus 1 cannot recover owed pallets, Minus 1 will transfer the pallets back to the sender at the original movement date.
9. Senders must inform pallet hire companies of transactions on a daily/weekly basis.
   Minus 1 reserves the right to date-correct to the day the transfer was communicated to the hire company.
10. All pallet claims must be made in writing with supporting documentation, including the Minus 1 consignment note number(s).
    Valid claims will be accepted with a new movement date of date of inquiry.
    Minus 1 will not review claims older than 6 months from the date of the claim.

Direct Transfer	Sender to receiver is preferred if picked up and delivered on the same day with the same vehicle. Minus 1 Refrigerated Transport will not investigate any claims or accept liability for pallets on direct transfers between sender and receiver.
Exchanges	While Minus 1 Refrigerated Transport accepts that some receivers will not have pallet accounts, and pallets will need to be exchanged on delivery, we will not exchange on pick-up and will not carry an exchange reconciliation on pallets picked up but not transferred.
Loans	Minus 1 will not provide pallets to customers on a ‘loan’ basis. If equipment is available, we can deliver pallets and transfer them to your account.
Rejections	If a receiving trading partner rejects a transfer or the pallets are unrecoverable, then Minus 1 Refrigerated Transport reserves the right to transfer the rejected pallets back to the sending pallet account.
Unrecoverable Deliveries	Freight for delivery to a location where pallets are deemed unrecoverable (e.g., Showgrounds, Conventions, Export Freight, or Community-based events) must be on plain pallets, as all transfers will be rejected.
Claims	All pallet claims must be made in writing with supporting documentation, including the Minus 1 consignment note number(s). Minus 1 will not review claims older than 6 months from the date of the claim. Valid claims will be accepted with the new movement date being the date of inquiry.
